Blackbutt Flooring

Origin Large hardwood growing in abundance in the coastal forests between Bega, New South Wales and Maryborough, Queensland.
Appearance Heartwood is pale brown, but northern material may sometimes have slight pinkish tinge. Sapwood is distinctively paler. Texture is medium and even. Grain is usually straight. Gum veins are common.
Common Uses Flooring, Poles, Decking, Sleepers, Building Framework & Structural Plywood.
